AI note-taking
Notes that take themselves.
Record it, save it or say it. Recolo writes the note, files it beside the people and projects it belongs to, and answers when you ask.
The note you never wrote
Most of what you would want to remember is never written down. The decision in the meeting, the number on the call, the idea that arrived on the walk home: by the time there is a moment to type, the detail is gone. A note-taking app only helps with the notes you make. Recolo is built for the ones you do not.
Start a recording, save a link or drop in a document. Recolo turns each one into a note with a transcript, a brief you can read in a minute, and the decisions and action items that came out of it. You stay in the conversation; the note writes itself.
Four ways a note gets in
- Meetings and conversations on your iPhone. Put it on the table and press record. Long meetings are fine.
- Calls and online meetings on your Mac. The desktop app records your microphone and the call's audio together, without adding a bot to the call.
- Voice notes anywhere. Speak the thought, and Recolo files it beside the people and projects it mentions. See voice notes.
- Links, articles and documents. Paste a link or drop a file, and Recolo reads it, summarises it and keeps it beside your conversations.

Organised by what is in it, not by you
Folders and tags are the part of note-taking that fails first. Recolo does not ask you to keep any. Every note is linked into a personal knowledge graph of the people, organisations, projects and topics it mentions. A client's name pulls up every conversation with them; a project pulls up every meeting, article and voice note that touched it. The notes list still shows everything by day, for the times you remember when rather than what.
Search by asking
You do not search a Recolo brain with keywords. You ask it. "What did the lawyer say about the lease?", "What did I agree to on Tuesday?", "What have I read about pricing?" Ask Brain answers in plain words and shows the notes it drew on, so you can open the moment and read it yourself. It is the difference between a notes app and a second brain.
What the notes turn into
- Reminders from the things you said you would do, with a tap to add one to your calendar.
- Ideas the brain connects across notes while you rest, graded before you see them.
- Documents, presentations, posts and articles from the Studio, written from your own notes rather than a blank page.
- Answers in Claude and ChatGPT, through Recolo's MCP connector, when you want your context inside another assistant.
Built for the notes you do not type
Recolo transcribes in many languages, including English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Tamil and Telugu, and separates the speakers in a conversation. Recordings are saved on your phone first, so a dead zone loses nothing. It only records when you press start, and shows that it is recording until you stop. For the meeting use in particular, see AI meeting notes.
Questions about AI note-taking
What is an AI note-taking app?
An AI note-taking app writes the note for you. You record a meeting, a call or a thought, or save something you read, and the app transcribes it, summarises it and organises it. Recolo goes a step further by linking every note to the people and projects in it and answering questions from all of them.
Do I still have to type notes?
No. You can type if you want, but most Recolo notes come from recordings and saved links. The transcript, the brief, the decisions and the action items are written for you.
How does Recolo organise my notes?
By what is in them. Each note is filed beside the people, organisations, projects and topics it mentions, in a knowledge graph, so there are no folders to keep or tags to remember. The notes list also groups everything by day.
Can I search my notes in plain words?
Yes. Ask Brain takes a question in plain words, searches everything you have captured, answers, and lists the notes it used so you can check.
Does it work offline?
Recordings are saved on your phone first and upload once you are back online, so a dropped signal does not lose a meeting. Transcription and the brief are written in the cloud when the upload completes.
Which devices does the note-taking app run on?
Recolo has an iPhone app, a Mac app for calls and meetings at your desk, and a web dashboard. Your notes are the same everywhere.
